The Oral Care Centre is accredited under The Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) which enables Singapore Citizens from lower- and middle-income households to receive subsidies for medical and dental care at participating General Practitioners (GPs) and dental clinics near their homes. Since 1-Jan 2014, changes were made to the CHAS so that more Singaporeans can qualify and benefit.
To enjoy CHAS subsidies, simply produce your Health Assist card / Pioneer Generation card with your NRIC during registration. For cardholders below 15 years old, please present your Health Assist card and birth certificate. CHAS clinics can be easily identified by the CHAS sticker displayed.
Common dental services that can be claimed thru CHAS are:
- Scaling, Polishing, and Topical FluorideSubsidy from $20.50
- Extraction and Curettage, Infected SocketSubsidy from $28.50
- Crowns and CementationSubsidy from $127.50
- DenturesSubsidy from $98
- Fillings and Root CanalSubsidy from $164
The Oral Care Centre is also one of the healthcare institutions licensed under the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics (PHMC) Act and registered with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) under the Baby Bonus Scheme. This means that your savings in the Child Development Account (CDA) may be used to partially pay for your children’s dental treatment.
As long as you have sufficient funds under your CDA and with the use of your Baby Bonus card you may make NETS payments.
