Dr Adeline Wong
BDS (Singapore), MSc Dental Public Health and Prosthodontics (United Kingdom), FAMS (Prosthodontics)Dr Adeline Wong graduated from the University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery as well as a Bronze Medal in 1994. After graduation, she was based in the then Government Dental Clinic followed by the National Dental Centre (NDC) in Singapore General Hospital. In 1997, she was awarded an overseas Manpower Development Scholarship by the Ministry of Health to study in Manchester, UK. She returned to Singapore in 1999 with a double Masters in Dental Public Health and Prosthodontics and was posted to the School Dental Service (SDS). She was Head (Field Dental Clinics), a visiting specialist at the Dental Centre (NUH) and part-time clinical tutor in the Faculty of Dentistry, NUS.
Her advance speciality training at both the NDC and NUH has equipped her with the skills and experience to manage patients in need of complex prosthodontic rehabilitation. Working in a multidisciplinary setting, she ensures a high standard of care even for patients with the utmost aesthetic demands. Her tenure in SDS involved mainly the management of complex referral cases from the school clinics island-wide. Thus she is well-versed in the long term prosthodontic management of children with missing (either congenital or traumatic) as well as developmental defects pertaining to the jaws and dentition.
She continues to contribute her expertise at the School Dental Centre, Health Promotion Board as a visiting specialist. Dr Wong is also a part-time clinical tutor in the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore.
She is a member of the Prosthodontic Society of Singapore and the Academy of Medicine (Singapore). She is also on the Advisory Panel (Dental Hygiene and Therapy) of the Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Health Sciences.
Dr Wong obtained her Fellowship of The Academy of Medicine (Singapore) in 2007 and is presently a registered Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics with the Singapore Dental Council.
Dr Wong is presently the co-partner and clinical director of the The Oral Care Centre.
