Dr Isabelle Ng Yuk Ching

Dr Ng Yuk Ching graduated with Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2004 from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and she went on to obtain her Master of Dental Surgery in Endodontics from NUS. She was conferred the Membership in Restorative Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2009. She worked at the School Dental Service (SDS) from 2004 to 2005 and at the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) from 2005 to 2014, when she left full-time service as an Associate Consultant and returned as a Visiting Specialist. Concurrently, she served at the National University Hospital (NUH) from 2006 to 2009. Dr Ng is a fellow of Academy of Medicine Singapore and is a registered Dental Specialist in Endodontics with the Singapore Dental Council.
During her undergraduate years at NUS, Dr Ng was awarded 1st Place at the Dentsply Asia Student Clinicians Competition for her project and following that, represented South-East Asia at the 2004 American Dental Association (ADA) Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida.
Dr Ng’s interests include the management of endodontic complications and dental traumatic injuries. Results from her master’s thesis were presented at the 8th World Congress of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA) in Greece and the 17th World Congress in Dental Traumatology in Brazil. Over her years at NDCS, Dr Ng gave lectures focusing on endodontic traumatology and pulp regeneration to specialists and general dentists, and she was also involved in the education of the oral health therapists and dental officers.
With a passion to improve the standard of care, Dr Ng embarked on an EPIC (Enhancing Performance, Improving Care) project in 2012 as part of the Singhealth Healthcare Delivery Improvement initiative, which successfully reduced the waiting time and number of visits for patients to receive endodontic treatment at NDCS. She was awarded the Singapore Health Quality Service Award in 2011 and 2012.
Dr Ng Yuk Ching provides endodontic treatment that includes non-surgical and surgical endodontics, management of endodontic complications, management of traumatic injuries to the teeth, bleaching of discolored non-vital teeth and vital pulp therapy.
